Spinners..a special little gem !

My recent visit to Spinners was at a time when the ground was awash with carpets of Erythronium. The garden, for those readers not in the know, is the creation of a fascinating plantsman and previously teacher in a  wooded area just north of Lymington...it is a plantmans delight ! For designers an opportunity to learn about woodland acidic plants.

The other bonus of Spinners is its proxmity to other worthwhile gardens nearby..Exbury, Furzey, Knoll and Stapehill..maybe not Stapehill at the moment; it looks closed for the time being. Spinners also sells some interesting plants, although from my recent visit I wondered if the range is a bit slimmer than previously. No doubt the  folk in charge can advise on this.

If a bespoke tour arond this and the other gardens is of interest, please let me know .

Oh look at that glorious camellia tree! I wonder how many years it takes for a camellia to grow to that glory.
Thank you for the blog roll add for Dreaming Beneath the Spires. I have changed my URL to match the title. The new URL is dreamingbeneaththespires.blogspot.com. Would it be possible to add the new URL to your blogroll please, as the old URL will no longer work.
You are on my blog roll too, of course.
Thanks much,
Anita
